Posted to: mahjongwords.com/ChromeChineseFan.php - It would be nice if your game could be graded according to your score into categories from say beginner to expert. At present you play against yourself only. Thanks for the game it is very enjoyable.

Posted to: mahjongwords.com/ChromePyramidMahjong.php - I do love this game, and my suggestions would be to be able to save the scores on these games as well as be able to play longer words. thak you for listening

Posted to: mahjongwords.com/ChromeChineseFan.php - Great idea and great game. The screen after a word is submitted could be optional. Thank you!

Posted to: mahjongwords.com/ChromeChineseFan.php - It would be nice to have some 'V's in the game too. Otherwise a great game for all levels.

Reply from Rick: I'd like to make a version where the player can configure the letter distribution.

    Thanks for the suggestion,
    Rick

Posted to: mahjongwords.com/ChromeChineseFan.php - When no other words are available, end the game.

Reply from Rick: That's actually rather difficult. A lot of times people think there are no words left when there are. Also, I'd need to do a dictionary look up for all possible combinations of tiles which would get rather computationally intense.

    Thanks for the suggestion,
    Rick

Posted to: mahjongwords.com/ChromeChineseFan.php - Oops, I goofed! I do have a score even though I didn't complete the puzzle; had 1 letter left. Is there a way we can compare the score with previous scores? Thanks for the game. I like it! :)

  • Joyce F. - 2014-04-04 19:40:07

Posted to: mahjongwords.com/ChromeChineseFan.php - I would like to get a score even if I didn't complete the puzzle.

Posted to: mahjongwords.com/ChromeChineseFan.php - Have a no more moves sign showing to end game rather than just to leave the pieces on the board or have a way to exit the game. I enjoy word play and the concentration it brings.

Posted to: mahjongwords.com/ChromeChineseFan.php - Allow longer words.

Posted to: mahjongwords.com/ChromeChineseFan.php - you need to do something about the absence of the letter "E"!it is difficult to make unobscure words with the letter set given!

  • Annette Smith - 2014-03-09 10:54:36

Posted to: mahjongwords.com/ChromeChineseFan.php - There are never enough E's, only 1 or 2 per game.

  • M Anderson - 2014-03-05 09:32:13

Posted to: mahjongwords.com/ChromeChineseFan.php - much faster response to key stokes.

Posted to: mahjongwords.com/ChromeChineseFan.php - I too would like 9 or even 10 letters... However, good game and on my first go I managed to score 1642 :)

Posted to: mahjongwords.com/ChromeChineseFan.php - When you use a tile in a word, the tile beneath should be grayed out until the word is submitted. Otherwise you can sneak peek which tile works best.

Posted to: mahjongwords.com/ChromeChineseFan.php - I like your game but I think it would be more challenging if you got points also for the tile values you use. If we are using tiles with values, shouldn't we get points earned? Don't you think? Also you don't explain how and why the unlighted squares go to a usable status. You click a lighted tile next to one unlighted one and nothing happens yet when you click on another it does. Can you explain the strategy? Thanks! I love word games and appreciate you coming up with one. Hope you consider my suggestions.

Reply from Rick: To have access to a tile it has to not have a tile on top of it, even partially. Also, it can not have a tile on both sides of it.

    Hope that helps, :-)

Posted to: mahjongwords.com/ChromeChineseFan.php - Idaho - state's name or proper names are not excluded in the directions as I read them, however, broken glass rejection sound was audio response to submitting "Idaho" as a word choice. The same was true with "Rolex" and I assume, from this pattern, that this same approach would apply to "kleenex" if it fit in the allotted number of boxes in the choice bar. Please clarify game rules accordingly.

Reply from Rick: All of those are proper nouns, and the game's dictionary doesn't contain any proper nouns. In general, I have a dictionary very similar to the Scrabble dictionary, so if you try a work in the scrabble dictionary it should work 99.9% of the time (or more). When someone tells me about a word in the scrabble dictionary that's not in my game I try to add it.

    hope that helps, :-)

  • Sara sgarlat - 2014-02-12 12:19:16

Posted to: mahjongwords.com/ChromeChineseFan.php - Longer words than 8 letters

  • joseph s conrad - 2014-02-07 09:22:04

Posted to: mahjongwords.com/ChromeChineseFan.php - When I can no longer make words, please let us know, lest we waste time. A simple "Game Over" or somesuch wouldst do!

Reply from Rick: It's difficult to tell when there are no more word possibilities. There are too many possible word combinations, it would kill performance.

    Sorry about that,
    Rick
